6) BARRIERS WILL NOT DETER HIM: He will not be easily deterred by any barriers, either verbal or non-verbal, you put up (such as ignoring him, appearing disinterested) or that may exist naturally (you're dating someone else, long-distance, etc.). He will remain persistent, yet stay well short of stalking. He is trying to win a place in your heart and life, not lose one.
5) HE WILL AVOID USING PLAYER TACTICS: He will not be able to use a cheesy pick up line or deceptive methods on you. If he can and does, you are a potential conquest, not a potential companion. When a man senses that you are the real deal, he feels differently inside and will not or cannot repeat weak methods or tactics he has used on other women in the past. He does not want to risk failing with you or be perceived as cliche' as you really mean something to him.
4) HE WILL MAINTAIN EYE CONTACT: He will repeatedly make eye contact with you, progressively increasing the duration of each glance, with the possible addition of a coy smile and head tilt to let you know that he is humble, interested in you and that you have received the correct message.
3) HE HAS "MOOSH" BRAIN: He might flat out act goofy, nervous, unlike himself or like a babbling idiot. Why? When he falls for you or senses a feeling of infatuation, he does not think clearly, his insides turn to "mush," he cannot communicate well, and cannot seem to maintain the same calm, cool, controlled demeanor he exhibits when he meets "just another woman." He may tell his buddy, "Dude, I was a moron around her," which is a GREAT sign for you!
2) YOU CATCH HIM CHECKING YOU OUT: You catch him checking you out in some way and when you do, he turns red and is embarrassed. He figured he was being incredibly subtle and covert which is nearly impossible for a guy who is totally into you. Just smile and appear appreciative unless he won't stop...then get a restraining order!
1) HE PERFORMS A STATUS CHECK: He somehow works in the line, "Your boyfriend is so lucky!" to perform a litmus test to see if you are "taken" or "available." He is hoping and praying that your answer will be, "I don't have a boyfriend. I am not seeing anyone right now."
6) SHE WILL MAINTAIN EYE CONTACT: A woman cannot, nor will not, maintain eye contact with a guy that she finds repulsive in any way. She knows that if she maintains eye contact with you and appears engaged in the conversation, you might misinterpret her intention and develop a sense of hope and optimism.
5) SHE WILL REMAIN IN YOUR PRESENCE: A woman will RARELY remain in the presence of someone to whom she is not attracted or finds interesting. She will quickly find some legitimate way to be somewhere else in a hurry. She might fake receiving a cell phone call or text message to politely remove herself from the situation. She may even sniff once or twice and say she "smells a sale" somewhere nearby and off she will go.
4) SHE WILL SMILE, LAUGH AND BANTER WITH YOU: If she appears to be enjoying your company and is helping to keep the conversation moving forward, that is a GREAT sign. Again, if she did not want to be with you, she would be as quiet as a mouse at a cat convention and make a quiet, legitimate excuse to leave.
3) SHE WILL BREAK THE "TOUCH BARRIER": A woman can be incredibly coy when she wants to be. The two of you are talking and laughing, she may touch your arm or shoulder, non-romantically, as she is laughing, kind of like an "awe shucks" non-verbal reaction. But make no mistake; she just broke the touch barrier with you. It does not mean it is open season for you to do or touch as you wish, but it does send the message that she was comfortable enough with you to physically engage you.
2) SHE WILL INQUIRE ABOUT YOUR SHORT TERM PLANS: She may ask, "Hey, are you going to that event tonight?" "Great...me too....I look forward to seeing you there!" In case you have not figured this out, SHE JUST SET UP A DATE WITH YOU! An informal meeting between the two of you, she expects you to be there and not be with someone else!
1) SHE WILL FIND A NON-ROMANTIC WAY TO EXCHANGE CONTACT INFORMATION WITH YOU: Be it her cell phone number, email address, MySpace profile name or a dating site profile, she will make sure that you have a way to stay in contact with her. She may have promised to get information to you during your conversation and suggests to you that you email or call her and she will get it to you. This also ensures that she will get your return address or phone number without having to ask for it. BRILLIANT! She now knows that you have the means to contact and court her and that is what she is expecting. Do not blow it!
